When we returned to Japan as a family, we found a distinct void in the travel space: resources were either geared exclusively toward child-free adults or focused purely on survival tactics for parents, sacrificing the beauty of the destination. LuNi Travels was created to fill that space. We provide curated itineraries, sensory-aware planning, and firsthand expertise to help you navigate Japan with intention, confidence, and joy.

Every guide, journal, and recommendation is rigorously field-tested by our own family, ensuring that our insights are grounded in reality, yet elevated in execution.

Josh | Founder & Strategist

Born in Texas, Josh’s career has been defined by global movement, with chapters lived in Spain, Belgium, Italy, and Japan. Long before LuNi Travels was conceived, Josh was professionally coordinating month-long, immersive cultural expeditions across Japan for international teenagers. Today, he brings that high-level logistical expertise and deep understanding of Japanese geography to LuNi Travels. A passionate investor and devoted student of espresso culture, Josh ensures every LuNi itinerary is structurally sound and strategically planned.


Rina | Creative Director

Born and raised in Tokyo, Rina is the cultural and aesthetic compass of LuNi Travels. She possesses an innate ability to balance the demands of travel with a grounding, mindful presence. Whether capturing the nuanced beauty of a hidden Kyoto temple or navigating local culinary landscapes with an adventurous palate, Rina ensures our content remains authentic to the Japanese experience. Her calm, adaptive philosophy is the stabilizing force behind every journey we take.

Born in Yokohama in 2017, Luca approaches the world with an analytical and deeply curious mind. A dedicated athlete with a passion for global soccer, his inquisitive nature drives our exploration of historical sites and interactive cultural experiences.
