Hi there! It’s Luca & Nico, reporting back from one of our most exciting adventures yet: KidZania Fukuoka—on a school day! If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to give your kids the chance to step into grown-up roles in a kid-sized city, KidZania is the ultimate destination. And visiting on a Japanese school day? That’s next-level genius. Imagine no lines, no crowds, and plenty of time to try every job your child could dream of!
We’re here to share why it’s a must for your family, what we learned (spoiler: listening to parents is important), and how you can plan the ultimate KidZania experience in Fukuoka, Osaka, or Tokyo.

Why KidZania Fukuoka is Perfect for Families
KidZania feels like stepping into a whole new world. Everything is kid-sized, and we get to be the grown-ups running the city. I loved getting to wear real uniforms and take on responsibilities–it made me feel like I was in charge. Nico? Well, he’s all about earning KidZos just so he can spend them right away. He says candy tastes better than souvenirs, but I’m not so sure!
It’s cool how there’s something for everyone here. Whether you like building, designing, cooking, or solving mysteries, there’s a job waiting. Nico and I even turned some of the jobs into secret missions–like solving a mystery as a forensic specialist or designing the ultimate getaway car as a car designer. That’s probably why Nico and I never get bored, even after multiple visits!
Luca & Nico’s Tip: Plan your visit on a Japanese school day to avoid the crowds. You’ll thank us later!

How We Convinced Mama and Papa to Visit KidZania Fukuoka
Convincing Mama and Papa to let us skip school wasn’t easy, but we had a plan. We promised:
- Educational Value: “We’ll learn teamwork, creativity, and even science!”
- Parent Perks: “You can relax in the lounge with Wi-Fi and coffee.”
- The Ultimate Promise: “We’ll finish all our homework ahead of time and be on our best behavior.”
And guess what? It worked!

Our Excitement Backfired
Here’s where things didn’t go as planned. The night before, we were so excited that we couldn’t stop talking about all the jobs we wanted to try. Nico was obsessed with designing shoes, and I couldn’t wait to solve mysteries as a forensic specialist.
By the time we finally went to bed, it was late—and we felt it the next day. We were tired, cranky, and didn’t have as much energy as we’d hoped. By the end of the day, we told Mama and Papa, “You were right. If we’d gone to bed earlier, it would’ve been even more fun.”
Parent Takeaway: Even the most thrilling adventure can be better with a well-rested kid!
Luca & Nico’s Tip: A good night’s sleep is key to making the most of your day at KidZania.
